Once you book a Railjet train ticket and proceed with the payment, you receive Electronic ticket (E-ticket).

It is highly recommended to print it out as it is your boarding pass that you will need to provide to the ticket officer along with passport at the time you board your train.

Unfortunately, this E-ticket is sometimes tricky to read since some of the information provided there is written in Czech or German. We will cover all the tricky parts on how to read a Railjet train ticket in our great article.

Sample Railjet train ticket

On the right you will find an example of how a OBB Railjet train ticket looks like. Such German train tickets may be hard to understand, that's why in the guide below there's everything you need to know about what is written on such an E-ticket.
On the very top of the E-ticket you can find OBB Logo in red on the left, and on the right the name of the traveler who booked the ticket and category purchased. In this very case ERWACHSENER basically means adult fare.
A little below (from left to right) on the very left you can see DATUM (Date) of depature, Zeit (Time) of departure or arrival., VON and NACH mean from and to accordingly. Klasse is Class as you probably already guessed.

The next table basically shows the route of the train, in our case the train from Vienna to Prague goes via Breslau and Brno.
Under the previous table you will see the number and name of train you are boarding. Zug means trains, and in this particular case we are traveling on RJ 76 train from Vienna to Prague. On the same very level, on the right, you will see the price of the ticket in Euros.

Little lower you will see the data of the credit/debit card you used for purchasing the ticket.

In the very bottom end of the ticket, you will see the short summary of your purchase, including arrival and departure train station, date of your journey, arrival and departure time, name of the train and the duration of the trip.

! Importantly, please keep in mind that the departure and arrival time is always indicated in local time!
